The Electrician will be responsible to perform maintenance, pm, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of production, process, and utility equipment and associated instrumentation. In this role you will assures proper operation, accuracy, and documentation of equipment and instrumentation to meet product, process, and regulatory requirements.
In addition, in this role you will:
  • Inspect, repair, install, modify, and maintain electrical / electronic systems, circuits, and equipment using hand tools such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including: Oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems
  • Inspect electrical / electronic systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
  • Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous
  • Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes
  • Provide assistance during emergencies must be capable of performing physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations including but not limited to; Lock out tag out, confined space entry, NFPA 70E Arc Flash Hazards, and hazardous material handling
  • Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot power transmission system and components
  • Troubleshoot and repair all plant High and Low voltage electrical equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair Electrical / Electronic Test Equipment
  • High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of Industrial Electrical experience (OR be a licensed Master Electrician OR Associates’ in Industrial Electrician with a minimum of one year of Industrial Electrician experience)
  • GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
  • Ability to safely install and repair 480 volt three phase; motors, drives, starters, switch gear, and service lines
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and specify new or replacement components for equipment
  • Ability to use blueprints to wire, install, and troubleshoot electrical equipment and controls
  • Ability to troubleshoot variable frequency drives
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • GE FANUC PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) knowledge
