The individual will be involved in developing and implementing corporate strategy initiatives, including strategic planning, market research, and special projects. This is a high impact positions with highly visibility to Executive Staff. We are a small team providing capability and service and looking for an entrepreneurial type to add additional forward thinking to the team.

Essential responsibilities will involve developing and presenting to senior management business strategy proposals, including market data analysis and overall recommendation and strategic rationale. This individual will actively participate in all aspects of the corporate strategy process including supporting other business units in the development of their long-term strategic priorities, helping manage the corporate strategy process, developing strategic partnership opportunities and helping develop materials to support these initiatives.see http://www.netapp.com/us/careers/index.aspx

Essential Functions:
• Support senior leaders in driving the development of NetApp’s corporate vision, strategy, and long-term strategic priorities
• Work with line business leaders to develop strategies and scenario analysis for growth and investment strategies.
• Research and identify market trends, technology trends, competitive analysis, customer pain points, and potential opportunities/solutions
• Synthesize all the data streams to formulate strategic options for the business units
• Work with the business units to create their long term strategic plan
• Develop financial models and various frameworks to articulate new strategic initiatives
• Assist in complex strategic and special projects.
• Help develop frameworks to assess and rank technology and market opportunities
• Develop and get buy-in on proposals
• Facilitate cross-functional teams, engage and communicate with Senior Management.
• Strategy consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or product management experience
• Strong IT and storage industry and related technology architecture knowledge a strong plus
• Expertise in creating, driving, and executing solutions by defining all elements from strategy through market implementation
• Ability to think strategically
• Internally motivated self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity
• Ability to plan, organize and establish priorities to meet goals
• Must be able to work under deadlines to meet objectives and be able to handle multiple tasks
• Very strong quantitative analysis skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong influence management skills across different levels
Undergraduate, four year degree in any relevant field
• 2-4 years direct work experience with a strategy focus.
