    In your role as Customer Service Representative you play an instrumental role in building customer relationships. You will be the first to receive inbound customer calls and will both service existing customers and acquire new customers by thoroughly explaining and selling GE Capital Bank’s value proposition and products. This is an exciting growth opportunity for associates who enjoy the challenge of customer service.
  • Promote and sell appropriate products to customers at every opportunity, and embrace new products being tested as a sales opportunity.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact; answer in-bound customer phone calls and provide real-time resolution on inquiries from existing and new customers regarding on-line retail deposits (including but not limited to CDs, saving accounts, IRAs etc.).
  • Respond to customer requests and discuss product options and associated features to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Process transactions and fund transfers and refer requests for other product and account maintenance appropriate areas for processing.
  • Meet established goals for all metrics, including call quality, productivity and profitability quotas, and customer acquisition by focusing on maximizing service to customers.
  • Efficiently access multiple electronic systems to provide complete response.
  • Support special campaigns as needed, or if solicited by the customer.
  • Basic Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service and/or sales experience.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business.
  • Previous experience in a financial services/banking.
  • Previous experience in customer service call center environments.
  • Previous experience in sales.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, and creative problem-solving and decision making skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. (Spanish communication skills a plus)
  • Professional phone mannerisms with effective customer service relationship skills.
  • Excellent PC skills including navigating multiple applications/systems.
  • Demonstrated service-to-sales mindset with high level of detail orientation.
  • Strong team player – demonstrated professionalism, commitment, initiative, vision and flexibility
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to handle confidential and often sensitive information.
  • Ability to comply with compliance rules and other federal/state regulations.
  • Strong change orientation.
  • Flexible (with assignment responsibilities and processes).
  • Self-directed and highly motivated.
