The HPT M&I Design Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
The offer is addressed to people who are interested in work on High Pressure Turbine Airfoils used in Aviation business. It is great opportunity to gain, learn and improve expertise at the area as well as to work on development of state-of-the-art technologies and design used in high pressure turbine applicable for Aviation business. Responding to rapid market growth High Pressure Turbine Module is looking for both new graduates (inexperience) and experience mechanical design engineers who are interested in stable and interesting job. In addition, you will:

  • Execute, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the analysis, design, test, or integration required to define and support assigned components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements
  • Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
  • Document and communicate results of technical data generated
  • Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives
  • Share engineering information and promote open dialogue
  • Prepare invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business
  • Ensure proper documentation of technical data is generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Ensure expected results in term of quality, execution time, and cost (within control)
  • Interface with PE or Program Manager, DE, Testing, Sourcing, Quality and Manufacturing and interface with component / system vendors
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience as a designer)
  • GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Prior experience as a Designer with at least six full projects successfully completed
  • Knowledge of using design CAD tools and demonstrated experience in use
  • Ability to understand and implement design lay-outs for overall assemblies and applying drawing standards
  • Ability to work in teams and achieve targets
  • Strong detail focus
  • Ability to work in a global environment
