The Configuration Control Board Chair for our F110, F101, and F118 engine programs reports through the Large Military Systems Design & Integration Section and will be responsible for managing and executing design and configuration change across the life cycle of the F101 / F110 / F118 products.
In addition, you will:
  • Assure CCB is fully integrated with the program platforms
  • Develop & Manage parts list structure
  • Evaluate and review design changes for:

      -Proper reviewers
      -Change Class
      -Impact to qualification basis
      -Adherence to PCB directions
      -Conformance to policies & procedures
      -Customer impact
  • Respond to customer configuration control questions
  • Mentor & provide counsel both inside and outside aviation business
  • Provide interpretation of configuration management procedures
  • Participate and influence PCB
  • Integrate new Customer & DCMA requirements
  • Lead the Toll gate process for Configuration Control practices
  • Support and institutionalize process improvements across the platform
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University (OR a Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of related technical experience)
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct CCB experience in CM or as a CCB Chair
  • Minimum of 6 years in engineering or related technical discipline
  • GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a managerial role or leading cross functional teams
  • Knowledge of USAF and GE qualification procedures and requirements
  • Familiarity with ILS and field configuration management
  • General understanding of jet engine mechanical design and assembly procedures
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing and Supply Chain processes
  • Effective team building and project management ability
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
