Facilitates security assessment processes, manages any outstanding issues and follows the entire remediation process beginning to end for all system tiers. Works within the IT Security Operations team to coordinate the implementation of security measures for the business’ applications across the entire GE Capital global footprint. This role focuses on the protection of information systems business application assets, corporate data/information, and intellectual property assets.
  • Works collaboratively with other security professionals on various infrastructure and applications vulnerability management tools, processes and procedures.
  • Tracks and reports the metrics of various security issues within the operations framework
  • Work within operations to develop security documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and diagrams.
  • Researches industry and vendor trends as well as specific security threats and vulnerabilities as required.
  • Takes action on ad-hoc requests generated from various security operations team activities.
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline (high school diploma/GED with 4 or more years of experience)
  • Desire to develop knowledge and gain experience within security and information assurance operations and architectures

  • Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to drug testing, reference verification, and background check.

  • Strong collaboration skills/experience working in a team environment.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience generating Microsoft PowerPoint slides, Excel spreadsheets, Visio diagrams, and/or Access databases.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Involvement in Information Security organization(s) is a plus.
  • YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SATISFY THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 19 OF THE FEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE ACT.
