Genoptix Medical Laboratory, a division of Novartis, is focused on developing and commercializing evidence-driven diagnostic tests to improve physicians' ability to optimize patient outcomes.

We’re currently seeking qualified candidates to join our team in the position of:

Clinical Laboratory Scientist - Solid Tissue - This is a second shift position

Summary:
The ideal candidate will have experience working with various forms of tissue; ideally understanding the morphology behind the various specimens. Will do the image analysis and scoring of the fluorescent images to prep for Hematopathologists’ review. This lab has brand new technology; the primary scope of the role focuses on image analysis.

Additiaonal Duties and Responsibilities:
Be able to assist in reviewing and approving test data before results are given to the pathologist for reporting.

Be capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and must either correct the problems or immediately notify the general supervisor, technical supervisor, clinical consultant, or director.

Performs assays that detect circulating tumor cells and/or other assays as assigned.

Prepares and stains slides from blood, bone marrow and other tissue specimens for review by pathologists.

Additional duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications
Have earned a bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution; and

Have a minimum of 0-1 year of laboratory training or experience, or both, in high complexity testing; and

Possess a current license issued by the State [either CLS or limited license specific for specialty]
