IT Architect - Microsoft Windows 8 Platform in United States

Job description

Seeking Windows Desktop Architect in a client-facing environment for design, support and upgrade of existing legacy Windows desktop to the new Windows 8 with a focus on the Zero touch high volume deployment models. The candidate will be able to demonstrate their abilities in customizing the desktop space, enhanced security and a proficiency in the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT). This includes designing and implementing enhancement solutions using Microsoft-based applications. In this role you will be challenged to evaluate and potentially include a solution design in the use of leading edge technologies. Our practitioners must be prepared to ramp up on these technologies by using individual and/or instructor-led training as customers seek to integrate them into their environments.
Required

• At least 3 years experience in managing Windows systems, including Windows Servers 2012/2008/2003
• At least 3 years experience in Microsoft Active Directory 2012/2008/2003
• At least 3 years experience in scripting technologies VBScript and PowerShell
• At least 1 year experience in Microsoft Security Compliance Manager and Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK)
• At least 1 year experience in Data Encryption Toolkit for Mobile PCs, AppLocker for Application Control, BitLocker for Data Protection
• At least 1 year experience in Group Policy in Windows 8, Security Auditing Features, Windows Authentication and Logon Technologies and Windows Firewall with Advanced Security
• At least 1 year experience in Operating System (OS) imaging technologies with an emphasis on Microsoft-centric tools
• Certified in Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
• Readiness to travel 75% travel annually
• English: Fluent

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree in Business/Management
• At least 1 year experience in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
• At least 1 year experience in migration tools, design, best practices and implementation, Office 365, Lync,IIS,SQL Server,SharePoint environment
• At least 1 year experience in applied principals of Project Management
