Job Summary

The Integrated Systems QA Team is looking for a creative and motivated QA Engineer with a strong background in networking. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You must be an independent self-starter in order to do well in this role. Developing and fostering partnerships with cross-functional teams is key to long-term success. The person filling this position must be a hands-on, pro-active, self-motivated and seasoned SQA professional. Success in this position requires a strong ability to drive for results.

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years of SQA or System Test experience with networking, preferably on consumer-facing hardware/software products.
  • Basic Networking Protocol Fundamentals (TCP/IP, NAT, DHCP, DNS, SMB, routers, switches, etc)
  • Demonstrated ability to own a complete functional area of an application or product
  • Excellent communication skills (ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience)
  • Good understanding of SQA methodologies & practices
  • Ability to think creatively, problem solve, and innovate
  • Familiar with UNIX based operating systems

Description

• Create, modify and execute tests for validation of iOS hardware and software features at the system-level (including ad-hoc and interoperability) • Clearly, concisely and accurately report status on a regular basis • Work independently and drive to deliverables • Be a vocal proponent for quality (internally and externally) in every phase of the development process • Write test plans and other test documentation as required • Work cross-functionally with other QA teams, Developers and Project Managers

Education

BS CS/CE or equivalent (MS preferred)

Additional Requirements

Nice to have: • Experience creating and expanding test harnesses • Experience in automation using scripting or other languages (Perl, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, Objective-C, etc.) • Experience testing various video and audio media formats and various networking concepts and tools is a plus.
