3M is seeking an Analytical Chemist for the Drug Delivery Systems Division (DDSD) located in Maplewood, Minnesota. Be part of what’s next!
Job Summary:
The person hired for the position of analytical chemist will provide analytical support for the development of transdermal patches and/or metered dose inhalers in the DDSD laboratory.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Development and validation of both physical and analytical test methods.
- Support for formulation development.
- Analysis of registration stability samples, collation of data, stability data analysis.
- Addressing additional studies to support preparation of regulatory submissions.
- Writing of documents for regulatory submissions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited university
- Minimum 3+ years of regulated environment laboratory experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Chemistry from an accredited university
- 3M experience working across multiple disciplines, businesses and/or departments
- Strong working knowledge of High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and/or Gas Chromatography (GC)
- Meticulous data collection and ability to maintain a laboratory notebook
- Ability to adhere strictly to SOPs, good technical skills and working familiarity with laboratory procedures and processes
- Familiar with working in a regulated environment, preferably GMP or GLP
- Empower chromatographic data system experience
- StarLIMS Lab Information Systems software experience
- Basic understanding of statistical techniques, data analysis and variability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
