Job Summary & Responsibilities
-Looking for a data warehousing and ‘Big Data’ specialist to design and build a large-scale Data Catalogue.-Recommend and set goals for unified data management practices such as meta-data management, provenance management, governance, stewardship, data quality and lifecycle management.
-Recommend, architect, design and maintain a comprehensive data architecture (tools, technologies, data model, infrastructure, etc.) that supports large-scale, predictive analytics. Ensure the data architecture is optimized for large dataset acquisition, analysis, storage, cleansing, transformation and reclamation
-Develop standards and methodologies for benchmarking, performance, evaluation, testing, data security and data privacy Perform impact analysis, performance tuning, capacity planning for the enterprise data warehouse and its infrastructure as source systems are added and new integration business rules and logic are introduced
-Establish and enforce policies, procedures, standards, methodologies, and metrics for data quality, metadata management, and master data management. Ensure the infrastructure adheres to architectural best-practices that meet and exceed security, scalability, performance, and maintainability requirements
-Provide recommendations, technical direction and leadership for Hadoop and NoSQL technologies as part of the overall architecture
Basic Qualifications
-Be well versed in parallel processing technologies as well as the advantages, disadvantages and trade-offs of various architecture approaches such as SOA. Need to have knowledge and experience with data management techniques such as Master Data Management, Data Quality management, Complex Event Processing , metadata management, text analytics and mining, in-memory processing, data profiling, micro-batches, streaming data loads, and Change Data Capture.-Application development, implementation and operations experience. Working knowledge of application and system availability, scalability and distributed data platforms. Ability to integrate research and best practices into problem avoidance and continuous improvement. General knowledge of Complex Event Processing (CEP), text analytics and mining, and in-memory processing. Extremely knowledgeable of industry standards and trends
-8+ years of related database development experience
-2+ Hadoop, NoSQL, BigTable, HBase and large data sets.
-Experience and detailed knowledge with Master Data Management, ETL, Data Quality, metadata management, data profiling, micro-batches, streaming data loads, and Change Data Capture (CDC)
-Significant experience and knowledge of integrating and aggregating large data sets into high-volume data warehouse applications using highly-varied and high-velocity data collection systems
-Significant experience of relational, OLTP, SQL, dimensional and OLAP databases and technologies
-Experience and working knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing technologies and solutions
-Experience with data governance, stewardship, risk and compliance
-Experience with Internationalization
