We’re currently seeking qualified candidates to join our team in the position of:
Director, Health Economics & Outcomes Research
Position Summary:
Primary
focus will be designing and implementing economic research studies that
provides economic perspective for clinical and/or pre-clinical product
portfolio decisions, marketing, product reimbursement strategies and
regulatory agency submissions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Designs and implements clinical impact studies aimed to assess how interventions affect clinical management decisions.
Compares
and evaluates the economic value of products and services with the
clinical and quality of life outcomes data from clinical trials and/or
epidemiology studies registry and economical modeling, surveys and
meta-analysis.
Develops country specific evidence requirement for optimal reimbursement coverage and usage.
Works
closely with product reimbursement to help develop strategies,
marketing and pricing programs, and standardizing best practices.
Works
with clinical research to add health economics endpoints to clinical
trials and biostatisticians to analyze and report study results.
Directs through lower management levels.
Has responsibility for managing a function that includes multiple related departments.
Establishes policies appropriate for the function.
Interprets and recommends modifications to company-wide policies and practices.
Interacts with senior management, and others concerning matters of significance to the company.
Conducts business and technical briefings for senior and top management and for external representatives.
Education:
Undergraduate degree in health science, public health, or related degree Advanced degree in public health with a focus on health economics is preferred
Qualifications:
A Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience, with 5 years relevant experience in pharmaceutical, device, diagnostic markets required
Excellent
verbal and written communications, analytical, organizational and
interpersonal (teamwork oriented) skills required. Must have strong
presentation skills.
Strong leadership capabilities, particularly
influencing in a complex matrix organization and motivating teams
across divisions, cultures and time zones.
