Manufacturing and Production
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Demonstrate a functional understanding of condition-based diagnostic technologies, to include:
- Vibration Analysis
- Alignment and Balancing
- Oil Analysis
- Ultrasonic Analysis
- Thermography
- Motor Current Analysis
- Stay current with predictive technologies and techniques
- Evaluate program needs and recommend software and hardware solutions
- Seek out and communicate standardization and best practice opportunities within the predictive maintenance program
- Identify and implement appropriate Key Performance Indicators to track program successes and opportunities
- Provide related information and reports to internal customers as required to help manage the individual Business Units' in the most effective manner possible
- Coordinate and facilitate any training needs for the personnel within the program and ensure level of awareness needs are met for maintenance craftspeople, operations personnel and management
- Coordinate data collection from of the various technologies and evaluate changes to collection schedules and parameters as needs arise
- Coach and develop team members in predictive maintenance principles and concepts
- Effectively administer the negotiated contracts for direct reports
- Ensure work is completed in a satisfactory manner and ensure cost effective employee performance in the work completed.
- Maintain associated equipment
- Administer the safety plan, policy and procedures
- Work with the individual Business Unit Maintenance Planners and Maintenance Team Leaders in identifying maintenance work for the area
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System for the generation, planning, scheduling and execution of work orders
- Learn and utilize the principles of Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM), interacting with all levels of the organization with respect to Autonomous Maintenance and Focused Improvement as it relates to maintenance and the Predictive Program
- Develop and manage annual budget for execution of the Predictive Program activities
- Utilize business systems such as Microsoft Office applications in the performance of all aspects of duties and responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in an Engineering field (Bachelors is preferred)
- 3 or more years "hands-on" experience with predictive maintenance functions such as vibration analysis, ultrasonic analysis, oil analysis, thermography or motor current analysis
- It is expected that this position will gain a certification in at least 1 primary technology (Vibration, Oil or Thermography) and at least 1 secondary technology (Ultrasonic, Motor Current) as well as obtaining certification as a Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP).
- Requires strong interpersonal, communications and leadership skills to coordinate and accomplish objectives through a wide variety of skilled craftsmen, supervisory personnel and contractors
- Requires strong analytical skills to evaluate technical processes based on process data and assist in the development of solutions to equipment performance problems
- Must have a proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Self-starter who works constructively in a team environment and requires minimal direct supervision
- Must be willing and able to travel 5-10% of the time
SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
Candidate will work with Sr. Maintenance Manager to continually develop Cedar Rapids PdM technologies and strategies. Candidate will be required to educate the organization on the PdM technologies driving a "0" loss in the TPM Journey.
