McDonald's Corporation seeks a highly motivated and energetic individual to join its Corporate Insurance Department for the position of Director, Corporate Insurance. This position provides strategic and tactical leadership in the development, implementation and management of McDonald's Corporation’s worldwide insurance purchasing, risk financing and insurance management strategies. 

  • Develop, enhance and manage all McDonald's Corporation worldwide insurance programs including property and casualty, directors and officers, crime, fiduciary, cyber, auto, advertising, and worker’s compensation.
  • Manage multi-level insurance programs with primary and excess coverages.
  • Negotiate all details of McDonald's Corporation worldwide insurance programs including terms and conditions, coverage, and premiums.
  • Manage and develop insurance programs for McDonald's Corporation subsidiaries, entities, affiliates, JV’s and DL’s worldwide.
  • Assure all insurance programs are managed in accordance with applicable governmental regulations, regulatory guidelines, business ethics and McDonald’s Standards of Business Conduct.
  • Monitor compliance with McDonald's Corporation minimum insurance standards worldwide.
  • Oversee daily operational, administrative and underwriting activities of McDonald's Corporation's international and domestic captive insurance companies.
  • Serve as primary corporate insurance consultant for McDonald’s international markets and provide insurance advice to McDonald's business units, attorneys, and senior management on all insurance related matters from complex insurance claims, coverage issues, and contract reviews.
  • Manage relationships with third party service providers, including brokers and insurers, to ensure that the interests of the Company and its clients are being properly addressed.
  • Anticipate and identify new or emerging exposures, insurance issues, and regulatory changes that may impact the business and develop long range plans and strategic direction for appropriate resolution.
  • Work with senior supply chain management, operational management teams, Corporate Legal Department and other management teams to establish and manage property and casualty insurance requirements for vendors, RMHC houses, and owner operators.

  • Minimum of 15 years of Global Insurance experience.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate, present and interact with clients at all levels of the organization, including senior management.
  • Must exercise sound judgment; be able to work independently and effectively under tight pressures and deadlines in a fast-paced high volume environment.
  • Substantial travel required.
