This position is primarily responsible for planning and overseeing the execution of audit engagements that review the design of the bank's control environment, as well as validation of corrective actions. The role focuses on GECRB's overall adherence to regulatory requirements as well as evaluating effectiveness of processing and functional execution.
Benefits:
Assess inherent and residual financial risks, evaluate control designs, develop and execute appropriate audit tests
Ensure effective and efficient execution of audits in conformance with professional and department standards, budgets, and timelines
Comfortably assume core audit responsibilities in all audit phases
Participate as a key team member on audit projects, having responsibility for more complex areas
Identify and assess the impact of control deficiencies
Review audit reports drafted for submission to Audit Leader
Present and support audit issues provided to management through status updates and closing meetings
Assist the business in developing cost-justified, value-added management action plans
Effectively handle larger and more challenging audit work on successive assignments
Produce excellent results in audit projects across multiple business areas involving different senior business leaders
Proficiency in the managing work papers and other audit and company tools
Manage and assist audit team members in accomplishing team objectives
Supervise the work of less tenured staff
Provide coaching to auditors and co-sourced audit resources
Facilitate Internal Audit's business monitoring activities
Maintain internal audit competency through ongoing professional development
