As a member of a world-class team, the Brake Press Operator will manufacture and process the bending of parts with manufacturing equipment while adhering to Engineering, Quality, and Safety requirements.
In addition, you will:
  • Interpret and read complex engineering drawings
  • Utilize micrometers, calipers and gauges for tolerance operations
  • Operate a forklift to move components, etc.
  • Perform first piece inspections on all parts
  • Operate the punch press equipment to perform duties
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum of 1 year fabrication experience operating machinery and tools, which require close tolerances and high accuracy in the fabrication and assembly of parts or components
  • GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
  • Strong math skills
  • Fork Lift operations experience
  • Exceptional computer skills
  • Prioritization skills
  • Brazing Experience
  • Knowledge of internal GE Sail page to pull engineer drawings, maintenance work orders, and the processes
  • Interpersonal skills to work with existing team members
