Serves as key support of data management products for assigned projects and areas. This role can be located in Aliso Viejo, CA, Wauwatosa, WI, Barrington, IL or Van Buren Township, MI.
• Maintain 99.99% availability for all production databases and infrastructure
• Develops pro-active database management solutions
• Designs, tests and installs database management systems for use with applications
• Pro-active and reactive performance analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution of issues
• Regular database capacity planning related to database growth and system utilization, trend analysis and predicting future database resource requirements
• Responsible for the control, integrity, and accessibility of the database file structure of one or more databases with multiple concurrent users
• Constructs database specifications, provides fault isolation and resolution, and tunes database applications for optimum performance, and implements disaster recovery and contingency plans
• Provide 24 x 7 escalation supports for SQL Server, MySQL and other database environments
• Participating in a rotating on-call schedule with DBA team
• Documenting the support procedure, change request, Project plans
• Working closely with other team leads and their technical teams to ensure delivery of database services within the performance targets set
• Defining database configuration standards related to performance and sizing for both transactional and data warehouse databases
• Mentoring and knowledge transfer to other DBAs
• Develops pro-active database management solutions
• Designs, tests and installs database management systems for use with applications
• Monitors database usage
• Ensures appropriate linkages with applications to other data processing systems
• 5+ years experience in SQL Server
• Experience with two or more database technologies (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.)
• Experience serving as a project team member
• Ability to coordinate efforts in line with the "bigger picture" to maximize the overall value of IT service delivery and demonstrated history resolving conflicts in priority
• Awareness of and ability to deliver compliance requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interface and influence at all levels in the organization
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills
• Analytic, creative and technical problem solver
• BS Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent
• Minimum four years IT experience

• Experience in the healthcare industry
• Lean experience
• PMP / ITIL certified
• Enterprise-level experience
