Key Qualifications

Description

As the Worldwide Manager of Procurement for Distribution Centers, you will report to the Senior Manager of WW Logistics. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, motivated with Procurement, business management and project management skills. The Worldwide Manager of Procurement for Distribution Centers will be responsible for: 1.Managing Apple’s global distribution center spend. Responsible for the qualification, selection and contracting of distribution centers to WW operations. 2.Develop and drive standardized framework in Statement of Work (SOW), warehousing solutions, consignment models, capital investments and pricing structures. 3.Drive supplier engagement framework ensuring sustaining performance excellence. Constant innovation in technology via WMS systems, MHE, scanning, labor pool management and overall automation solutions. 4.Manage a team of Global Supply Managers (GSM) across multiple geographies. 5.Responsible for maintaining the business relationships with the Regional Business Leaders of Logistics ensuring that both Corporate Procurement Strategies and those supporting the Regional Logistics efforts are aligned. Responsibilities: Typical responsibilities will include but not be limited to: • Responsible for the qualification, selection and contracting of warehousing services, which support our WW operations. • Development/Coaching of the GSMs to build domain knowledge expertise and groom future leaders for procurement. • Development of strategies to ensure that warehousing solutions are aligned with Apple’s projected growth. • Developing a strategy for ensuring that warehousing solutions are available on time to Apple’s customers at the lowest possible cost. Pricing models flex with business needs. • Responsible for negotiating warehousing contracts and the financial analysis associated with driving an agreement that supports Apple’s objectives. • Responsible for review of all business documents being released to the suppliers: RFPs, RFIs, Statement of Work (SOW), Master Agreements (MSAs), and formal communications. Working closely with Legal and the Manager of WW Logistics procurement • Ensures NDA, SOW's and Master Contracts are positioned appropriately before business is initiated. • Works closely with and provides escalation support for Regional Operations when performance (supplier or Apple) impacts contractual agreements, i.e. ship clean, inventory variance, picking accuracy, Loss etc. • Owns and drives the completion of the Supplier Performance Review Index (SPRI) and the delivery of the Quarterly Business Review (QBR). • Conduct benchmarking exercises to assess competitiveness of Apple’s rates and identify any potential future partners • Drive continual cost reduction and avoidance initiatives through ad hoc price negotiations, process reviews, technology benchmarking in compliance with Logistics Procurement Policies. • Market Intelligence: Develop and build Logistics commodity and industry knowledge to support and influence long-term strategy that meets future needs of Apple and convey a unified, consistent message to the supply base.

Education

Degree in Business Studies, Engineering or related fields. MBA a plus.
