at www.moodys.com The Software Sourcing Specialist will primarily be
responsible for strategic sourcing e.g. RFx, contract negotiations and
spend management related to software licensing, maintenance and
implementation services. Day to day responsibilities include: *
Negotiating Software License Agreements, Master Services Agreements,
Statements of Work, etc.* Leading Strategic Sourcing projects e.g. the
RFx process including gathering business requirements, drafting RFx
documents, identifying and qualifying potential suppliers, RFx project
management* Summarizing, reporting and presenting deal, savings and
category information to management* Building strong relationships with
suppliers, internal clients (e.g. IT, LOB Project Managers, Senior
Management) and business partners (e.g. IT, Legal, Finance/Planning)*
Act as a Subject Matter Expert on software licensing and key suppliers
e.g. Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, Salesforce. * Education: Bachelor's degree
from an accredited college/university * At least 2 years of relevant
work experience in Software Sourcing * Experience reviewing, drafting
and negotiating contract terms limiting risk, capturing business
requirements, and securing commercial commitments * Ability to work
autonomously and demonstrate judgment with regard to management
escalation * Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills* Strong
written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills *
Excellent organizational skills to multitask and prioritize projects *
Preferred: Experience in the Financial Services industry The Procurement
Group is comprised of 4 different departments; IT Sourcing, Sourcing
(non-IT), IT Asset Management and Procurement Operations which includes
purchasing, contracts management and reporting. This position is
located in NYC. MIS and MSS Candidates are asked to disclose securities
holdings pursuant to Moody's Policy for Securities Trading. Employment
