| Passionate data-driven individual with a strong background in hypothesis driven data analysis: - Recommend ways in which we can apply data to key business problems - Develop analytic project requirements, analytic plans, SOWs, project timelines and other related materials for management of analytic deliverables. - Ability to extract and manipulate data with SQL - Analyze peta-byte scale ad and data to deliver insightful analytics that solve key business problems - Develop innovative experimental design and measurement methodologies - Innovate new modeling and machine learning approaches - Collaborate on compelling new analytical reporting and features that enable data-driven decision making - Find and interpret data rich sources, merge data together, ensure data consistency - Manage large amounts of data within the domain of hardware, software and bandwidth constraints - Analyze data, applying statistical concepts, in order to discover segmentation opportunities, drive our personalization program, and maximize customer NPV - Translate the understanding into well engineered and easy to maintain data concepts - Question existing assumptions and processes - Collaborate with Insight Manager to assess business needs and craft and present findings in a manner that enables decisions and actions | |
| - B.A., M.S. or Ph.D. in a relevant data science or operations research field or 5+ years relevant - experience - Strong mathematical and statistical background (modeling, statistics, analytics, math),, fluent in statistical analysis, data mining, and machine language; - Highly proficient use of SQL for extraction and manipulation of data Experience in solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches - General understanding of linear regression, factor analysis, logistic regression, generalized linear models, tree models (CART, MART), data visualization, cluster analysis or related models required. Practical application of these techniques in a retail marketing setting preferred. - Basic knowledge in Data engineering, pattern recognition and learning, advanced computing, uncertainty modeling, and business analytics - Working knowledge of statistics, sampling techniques and analysis of variation (ANOVA). - Strong business acumen - Ability to communicate with business and IT leaders in a way that can influence how an organization approaches business. The Ideal Candidate will have: - B.A., M.S. or Ph.D. in a relevant data science or operations research field or 5+ years relevant experience - At least 5 years experience in Mathematical and statistical modeling and analytics , and solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches - Working knowledge of statistics, sampling techniques and analysis of variation (ANOVA). - Proven history of applying the aforementioned job requirements in a business setting, preferably retail/CPG - English: Fluent “Novartis Consumer Health, Inc. is an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V.” |
