| Job Purpose: Lead cross functional technical transfer teams and TPO teams as part of the second source of supply project. Responsible for the timely and efficient development and launch of TPO Supply Chain Projects (might also touch Novartis own sites) which span multiple markets and often multiple third party suppliers and meet project objectives in regard to scope, timing, cost and quality. Major Accountabilities: Manage the various stages of the project lifecycle: Project Initiation Compiles all scope, resource, and cost information for project approval and tracks same throughout the project, reporting any scope changes related to timing, cost or resources. Project Monitoring Monitors project for timeliness (On-time) and financial adherence (Budget/ savings goals) and adherence to other project goals (improved quality, reduced complexity etc). Issue Management: When tracking behind, identify ideas to accelerate project and generate alternate solutions to project related issues Escalation: Tracks major milestones and provide feedback to management when deviating and solicit management support when required for decisions or resolution of issues outside the control of the project manager. Project Close Ensure smooth handover to supply chain operations at project end. Responsible to issue final project performance assessment Lead Post launch Review Project Communication Act as the key point of contact and project management both within the project team, across all project stakeholders, to the Senior Management Leadership team and to the organisation at large. Communication may take many forms including face-to-face meetings, web site updates, trainings, presentations, conference calls etc. Promote Cross-functional Collaboration Generally the projects managed by the TPO Project manager are initiated either to reduce COGS and/or improve Supply Chain efficiency and effectiveness and therefore require team members from a variety of functions within the organisation. It is pivotal that the project manager be able to ensure that all necessary functions are aligned and involved at the right stages of the project. | |
| Education : 4 Year College/University Degree: Technical Degree preferred such as Science, Engineering. Project Management Institute Certification is a plus. Languages English Experience: •Minimum 5 years in Manufacturing, Technical Services, Quality or other operations-related role including experience in project work within the Pharmaceutical Industry •Knowledge of applicable manufacturing and packaging processes (solid, liquid, cream, aerosol, powder, etc.) •Knowledge of production planning, inventory management with preference given to candidates with APICS certification •Minimum 2 years project management experience •Understanding of c.G.M.P’s and regulated consumer products or pharmaceutical manufacturing requirements. •Able to manage multiple priorities and projects and deadlines. •Team oriented individual with personal commitment to human relations, integrity, giving and receiving constructive feedback, adaptability, diversity and communication.
