The Senior Controller will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, and be involved in long-term planning.
In addition you will:
  • Advise business leaders regarding complex financial accounting and reporting issues and transaction structuring
  • Lead the businesses work in complying with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (Sections 302 and 404)
  • Lead the general accounting and payroll operations
  • Interpret and implement GE General Accounting Procedures (GAP) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Compliance focal point for accounting issues
  • Maintain accounting, financial reporting, financial control, and information systems to ensure adequate records, appropriate authorizations of transactions, and safeguard assets
  • Lead direct reports in general accounting (including; ertain treasury operations) and payroll organizations in support of organizational objectives
  • Initiate process improvements
  • Key contact for Corporate and external auditors
  • Manage day-to-day closing process for GE Aviation including the general accounting team
  • Ensure the integrity of the general ledger and consolidation process
  • Complete period-end accounting closing processes
  • Accurately and timely complete account reconciliations
  • Timely completion of assigned Data Requests (DR) to Corporate
  • Perform financial analysis on balance sheet accounts to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting
  • Lead Genpact resources in completion of daily tasks, reporting, and projects
  • Support joint Compliance and Controllership initiatives including Improper Payments / High Risk Transaction, controls, monitoring, and business support
  • Work cross functionally to ensure financial reporting systems support external, management, government, STAT and tax reporting
  • Support new business acquisitions, system migrations and simplification initiatives
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in an Accounting and/or Auditing role with a public accounting firm of national repute or with industry experience at a large multi-national companyELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Certified Public Accountant
