This position is a business critical role supporting delinquency & loss forecasting for the entire Retail Finance organization covering Private Label Credit Cards, Dual Cards, Sales Finance Closed End, and Commercial programs.
  • Responsible for maintenance and update of delinquency, contractual loss, and early charge off forecast models for Retail Finance in order to prepare loss forecasts for near, medium, and long term periods.
  • Responsible for maintaining necessary controls with respect to loss forecast models and process in line with governance policy and procedures.
  • Provide portfolio/ product level inputs with respect to loss and delinquency expectations into several processes including ALLL, Late fee forecasts, Net Income Estimates, etc. during all formal business planning sessions, quarterly forward looking loss updates, as well as any other adhoc forecasts.
  • Lead/participate in several small/ medium analytical projects to identify underlying portfolio performance drivers such as changes to collections strategy, portfolio mix, change in terms, etc.
  • Assist the Loss Forecasting manager in the preparation of updates relating to credit cost, delinquency performance, and forecasts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business or related analytical field
  • 3+ years’ experience in loss forecasting in the Credit Card industry
  • 3+ years’ SAS programming experience and proven ability to work with and execute analysis on large amounts of data with relative independence
  • Ability to present complex analysis in a simple summarized way to the leadership

  • 2+ years’ experience in at least one of the following; reserve management process (ALLL), stress testing, risk analytics in Credit Card industry
  • Familiarity with regulatory framework around ALLL/ Loss forecasting
  • Experience using industry loss forecast tools, econometric modeling
  • Advanced SAS/ SQL experience
  • Experience in project management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in geographically spread-out teams
  • Very strong spreadsheet skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
