The QC Inspector will perform a variety of inspection tasks to determine compliance including receiving, in process and final inspection of parts, subassemblies or finished products using standard physical means, and/or mechanical or electrical testing equipment.
In addition, you will:
  • Ensure that all requirements of the documentation have been met
  • Record product inspection results, complete related documentation, and perform data entry and transactions after completion of inspection
  • Ensure quality control policies and procedures are followed
  • Be responsible for the identification and control of nonconforming product, and the maintenance of equipment calibrations
  • Perform audits of quality systems, and other related duties as assigned by management
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum of 5 years inspection experience in a manufacturing environment, including welding, machining and assembly
  • Minimum of 1 year in Quality Control Plans and the Quality Control Process
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience using inspection gages micrometers and calipers
  • GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
  • Associate’s Degree in Quality Assurance Technology, or training in Quality Systems including ISO
  • A minimum of 5 years inspection experience in manufacturing environment, including welding, machinery and assembly
  • Oil & Gas Turbo Machinery knowledge and experience
  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • CWI certification
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions, analyze, and interpret working drawings, technical specifications, etc.
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment
