GE is an equal opportunity employer, offering a great work environment, challenging career opportunities, professional training and competitive compensation. This position involves developing complex CAD designs and drawings for GE Appliances in a large, complex Windchill/Creo assembly environment.
  • Develop complex layouts and drawings using a CAD program (Creo) involving originality, advanced drafting techniques and showing practical mechanical and fabrication techniques with engineering assistance.
  • Skilled at developing component and system level mechanical designs.
  • Capable of working with a cross-functional team to complete multiple assigned projects.
  • Create design of products from sketches, schematics and verbal instruction.
  • Incorporate designer value of manufacturing practice, tooling, quality measurement systems, tolerance, and assembly fit.
  • Ability to check engineering drawings to determine proper fit and function, correctness and completeness of information and conformance to standards.
  • Ability to document engineering changes using Windchill developed software.
  • Minimum 2 year mechanical/technical degree.
  • Must be an expert at using Windchill/Creo.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a large mechanical assembly environment.
  • Skilled in 3D modeling and an expert in drawing structure and tolerancing.
  • Must be comfortable working in a high pressure NPI (New Product Introduction) environment.
  • Analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally and cross-culturally.
  • Strong desire to work within and support the team environment.
