This role will have responsibility for providing on-going C&B support for a designated client group as well as project management of global, division-wide compensation initiatives that deliver market competitive pay programs which enable GECC’s business units’ to attract, retain and motivate talented people.
  • Partner with the senior HR and business leadership teams to understand and translate business strategy into effective pay programs
  • Lead the design and implementation of base salary / variable incentive compensation programs that meet the specific, market driven needs of clients
  • Counsel and partner with HR and management teams on all compensation related matters including financial services regulatory requirements
  • Support staffing activities by conducting job analysis, competitive benchmarking and structuring of new hire packages and promotional offers
  • Lead annual salary, long term incentive and incentive planning processes for assigned clients
  • Create / deliver training to HR, managers and employees on compensation philosophy, strategy, policy, programs and practices
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis, including the generation of compensation reports and models to support business/HR needs
  • Ensure execution of GECC’s Compensation Policy and help in the development of new practices or procedures in accordance with Internal Audit or Supervisory requirements
  • Monitor financial services industry practices and regulatory developments and provide thoughtful analysis on the impact to GE Capital and/or assigned business units
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in compensation or in HR with functional knowledge of compensation concepts, systems and administration

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Human Resources
  • Master’s Degree is preferred
  • Demonstrated advanced PC skills including MS Office and strong database skills (Excel & Access)
  • Experience with HR practices and applicable regulatory knowledge (e.g., FLSA, OFCCP compliance, etc.) is preferred
  • Prior experience with a global multi-location business
  • Ability to lead in complex, matrixed, goal-driven organization working effectively with and influencing across all levels of management
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of HR practices (including compensation analysis and philosophies, job analysis, hiring and promotion practices and related regulations)
