The Instructor – Diesel Engine / Mechanical
Systems will develop practical and innovative ways to identify and meet
goals. In this role you will be responsible for work that is less
defined in scope, utilize your understanding and experience to execute
business objectives, and affect short-term and some long-term business
goals.
In addition, you will:
Develop curriculum and provide instruction, both classroom
and hands-on to customers, internal GE personnel and GE field service
personnel
Instruct to include familiarization, operation, maintenance
and troubleshooting of GE locomotives and GE Engines as well as other
GE Products and Services
Adapt instructional material, as required, to WEB-based training applications and instructional videos
Support the Product Training Department's mission to
develop and provide high quality training to meet requirements for
domestic and international customers, services growth, as well as
enhance and grow sales opportunities for additional products and
services
Develop instructional videos to compliment and support training needs
Bachelor’s
Degree in a technical discipline (or High School Diploma / GED and a
minimum of 4 additional years of experience in design, repair or
troubleshooting of mechanical and/or electrical systems)
Minimum of 2 years of field / hands on experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience in technical training or instructionELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and
internationally up to 75% of the time, and possible extraordinary hours,
as required
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We

Experience with all models of GE Locomotives and engine platforms
Firsthand knowledge of GE Maintenance practices
Six-Sigma, Lean or other Quality Program certification (GE Employees only)
