- Reviews compliance testing in relation to prospectus, SEC, IRS, and board approved operating requirements.
- Establishes and maintains production schedule for the preparation of fund financial statements.
- Reviews fund financial statements, including audit work papers, for accuracy and sufficiency.
- Plan and coordinate external and internal audits.
- Review recommended fund income and gain distributions
- Participate in the resolution of client issues.
- Review fund expense analyses and recommended adjustments.
- Review all other functions performed by your staff on the accounts being serviced. Functions include, but may not be limited to, preparation of board materials, mutual fund surveys, total return and SEC yield statistics.
- Review distribution guidelines, financial reporting changes and other policies and procedures of the funds.
- Responsible for directing and training of subordinate staff. Evaluates and establishes performance standards and completes staff PPR's semiannually.
- Responsible for risk management by ensuring staff understands all Standard Operating Procedures, Key Controls, and Client Specific Procedures.
- Supervise and manage administrative tasks for your staff which can include: vacation, overtime, sick leave, staff scheduling, periodic PPR reviews and other requests as outlines by your manager.
- Equivalent to a B.S. degree in Accounting, Business or related field. CPA or MBA is preferred.
- Five+ years of experience in related fund accounting or administration.
- Knowledge of securities processing, general ledger accounting, and SEC and IRS compliance requirements.
- Good interpersonal, organizational and attention to detail skills.
- Computer proficiency and working knowledge of various software applications including GCOM, integrated accounting and financial reporting system.
- Ability to motivate staff to accomplish daily activities agreed to by your clients.
