Job Summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a copyright attorney with a minimum of five years experience to be based in Sunnyvale, CA.

Key Qualifications

• Requirements:
• Law degree from an ABA accredited law school and strong academic credentials
• At least one state bar membership
• Extensive copyright law experience
• Law firm experience required, in-house experience preferred
• Experience in technology and consumer electronics industries preferred
• Experience in trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement a plus
• Litigation experience a plus
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experienced negotiator and problem solver
• Must be detail oriented, able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure in a fast moving environment
• Ability to exercise sound commercial as well as legal judgment

Description

The candidate should have experience with worldwide copyright registration strategy, DMCA programs and enforcement, anti-piracy, copyright dispute resolution, social media, music and photography licensing, and rights & permissions. The candidate will work closely with all levels of business, and should have strong business acumen. The candidate must be able to efficiently utilize domestic and foreign outside counsel. The candidate must be able to resolve a variety of highly complex issues in creative and effective ways, while maintaining an acceptable level of legal risk. The candidate will operate independently, seeking direction when appropriate. The position will report to the Trademark and Copyright group Director.
