Further information about "working at Moody's" is available at our Careers Page at www.moodys.com Individual will provide support to Retail, Restaurant,  Gaming, & Lodging analysts and be based in New York. Primary responsibilities include financial statement analysis to ensure the accuracy of our financial models; preparing rating committee materials; assisting with research preparation; and assembling presentations. Will work closely with Retail, Restaurant,  Gaming, & analysts, often under considerable time pressure, in meeting deadlines for rating committees and research commentary. Also will work with analysts on various analytical and statistical projects involving company and industry analysis, pulling items from financial statements, graphs, tables, spreadsheets and peer comparative statistics. Will help in drafting first round of research reports for issuers and industry, locating and organizing appropriate materials. Bachelor's degree required, Masters in Business Administration or Finance or CFA designation preferred, with special consideration given to candidates with relevant technical, industry, or analytical experience. 3- 5 years financial analysis experience. Background in accounting and economics desired. Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management. Candidate should have at least two years of relevant experience, including internships. Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
