Job Summary

Job Summary The Sensors SQA Team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced SQA engineer with excellent analytical and problem solving skills. This is your chance to join a key team driving the quality of future Apple products. In this role, you will be testing, automating, analyzing detailed results and working closely with the cross-functional team to ensure product quality.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience as a QA/SQA Engineer, preferably on consumer-facing hardware/software products
  • Ability to make data driven decisions on a regular basis
  • Solid debugging experience. White-box testing experience is a plus.
  • Experience in automation using scripting or other languages (Python, Perl, Ruby, JavaScript, ObjectiveC, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience with physical test rigs and test automation hardware
  • Experience with prototype hardware
  • Strong practical knowledge of UNIX-like operating systems
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other teams and groups
  • Ability to think creatively, problem solve, and innovate

Description

The successful candidate has a strong aptitude for learning new technologies, gaining in-depth knowledge of how new systems function and generating/analyzing data to validate functionality. Additionally, the candidate is expected have the ability to design, create, and run manual and automated tests. Cross-functional collaboration with development teams and an ability to thrive under pressure are key skills required to succeed in this role. - Develop, design and execute manual and automated tests for validation of hardware and software features at the kernel, driver or BIOS level - Develop and maintain test automation - Develop test plans and other test documentation as required - Identify, reproduce, and isolate bugs found via debugging and data analysis - Work closely and communicate clearly with all cross-functional teams

Education

BSEE/CS or equivalent experience
