Leading Financial Service firm is looking to add a Senior Risk Analyst. This person will work alongside all areas of Risk to help identify, measure and communicate total enterprise risk issues.
This person will work with ERM leaders on strategic and risk related issues; provide research and data analysis support and coordinate special projects needed by the Chief Risk Officer; assist in the calculation of aggregation of Economic Capital across all risks to determine the total EC for the firm; develop analytics based on the results of the EC model to  identify sources of change in EC and forecast the impact on the EC from potential ALM
Responsibilities:
•           Assists in the development of risk methodologies based on actuarial and capital markets/economic principles



•           Assists in the calculation and aggregation of Economic Capital (EC) across all risks to determine the total EC for the organization and help develop analytics based on the results of the EC model to identify   sources of change in EC and forecast the impact on EC from potential ALM, investing activities, and management actions



•           In conjunction with other risk management areas in the lines of businesses, helps develop, implement, monitor, and manage market risk mitigation programs for the enterprise



•           Consults with Enterprise Risk Management leaders on strategic and risk related issues and problems



•           Leads workgroups by evaluating issues and problems of strategic significance

•           Helps identify, measure and communicate total enterprise risk issues



•           Researches and prepares briefings on status of key projects and initiatives to senior leaders



•           Provides research and data analysis support and coordinate special projects as needed by Chief Risk Officer



•           Acts as a subject matter expert on current and emerging industry issues



•           Implements process improvements, consistency, governance, controls, and oversight



•           Develops robust capabilities for an end to end view on risks at the company



•           Helps to facilitate transition from existing approaches to newer approaches, and overcomes barriers to mindset change





•           Establishes effective working relationships throughout the organization, both at the corporate level and within the businesses



•           Facilitates risk assessment discussions and analyses with risk groups throughout the organization





Educational



•           Undergraduate Degree or 4+ years of comparable work experience; educational concentration in Mathematics, Business or other Quantitative field is preferred



•           Advanced Degree in Financial Engineering is preferred



•           PhD level degree in a Quantitative field is preferred



•           FSA and/or Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst designation



•           FRM/PRM/CQF designation a plus



•           CFA designation



Experience



•           5-7+ years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position



•           Educational experience and/or proficiency in:



•           Life Insurance & Actuarial



•           Quantitative Investment/Derivative Strategies and Risk Management



•           Market, Credit and Operational Risk Management tools



•           Derivatives structuring, strategy and/or financial engineering experience



•           ALFA or similar projection software systems



•           Access, SAS or other data management packages



•           Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills



•           A demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations



•           Possesses a bias for action and avoids workplace distractions



•           Drives performance targets to completion
