Description

 
As a member of the SAS Advanced Analytics Lab (AAL), you will support customer analytic business needs through data discovery, analysis, reporting, and presentation.
 
You will participate in end-to-end customer analytic requirements, which will include identifying data analysis needs, processing and exploring client data, translating business requirements into analytic methods, building analytic models, developing analysis reports, and presenting reports to customers. Your duties will also include developing data quality procedures, assisting in quality assurance efforts for all AAL projects, automating analytic processes, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 
Essential
  • Master's degree in statistics, applied mathematics, or a related quantitative field
  • 2 years of experience in data analysis or analytical consulting
  • 2 years of experience with the SAS System
  • This position requires up to 20% travel.
 
Additional
  • Ability to solve customers' complex business problems using innovative analytical processes and techniques
  • Ability to perform in both team and individual environments
  • Familiarity with data mining techniques
  • Proven record of handling increasing responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with people from a variety of technical backgrounds
Preferences
  • Ph.D. degree in statistics, applied mathematics or a related quantitative field
  • Experience with analytic and business approaches related to fraud detection
  • Experience with Link or Social Network Analysis 
  • Experience with SAS Enterprise Miner and Text Miner software
  • Experience with credit scoring models
  • Experience with SAS ETS and SAS Forecast Studio
  • Experience with probabilistic linkage of large data sets
  • Experience with data manipulation using SAS
  • Experience with SAS Macro language
  • Experience with Social Media Analytics
  • Willing to relocate or currently located in Cary, NC area
