at www.moodys.com As Associate Director of Data Support, you will be a
member of our global Data Operations Group responsible for data
processes that drive Moody's Analytics' quantitative credit risk
measurement tools and software applications. You will be leading the
data vendor management work for our group which includes being the
liaison with our data vendors while partnering with Product Strategy,
Legal and Procurement teams to ensure proper use of third party data
along with negotiating future data contracts. You will also be expected
to perform due diligence in analyzing new data sources used by our
models and research. You will be responsible for leading a team of
data analysts that are responsible for providing high quality support of
our credit risk data in addition to overseeing performance and
professional development of staff members. Responsibilities: * Data
Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with some of the largest
financial data vendors in the market that are sources for our models and
products, while managing our data budget. Assist in the negotiations
process for new data contracts or renewals with the goal of optimizing
our data spend. Research and perform due diligence of potential new
data vendors for increased product offerings, or data requests from
internal teams such as Research. * Lead Data Support Team: Lead
talented group of data analysts that are responsible for providing high
quality client support of our credit risk data to both internal and
external clients. This includes, but not limited to, querying SQL
databases, corresponding with data vendors, and working jointly with
various internal teams such as Data Production and QC, development
teams, or Research. * Contribute to cross-team projects to enhance or
improve our product offerings or processes. Minimum Requirements: *
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Operations Research,
Finance, Business or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. *
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong negotiations
ability. * Experience successfully building and managing vendor and/or
client relationships. * Strong understanding of how to deliver customer
success. * At least two years leading a team of analysts. * High
attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills,
and the ability to handle multiple projects . * Experience handling and
analyzing datasets. * Familiarity with equity and fixed-income markets
with the ability to correctly read and interpret financial statements. *
Proficient in MS Office suite. Preferred Qualifications: * 1-2 years
management experience Exposure to SQL and RDBMS (Sybase, Microsoft SQL
server, Oracle, MySQL.) * Previous experience using Salesforce.com. *
Previous experience in a client support role. * Hands-on analytics
experience: designing and developing dashboards and reports, and data
mining. * Professional experience programming in a commonly used
language (Java, C++, Visual Basic, Python, etc.). * Exposure to credit
risk models. * Data visualization experience such as building dashboards
in Spotfire or Tableau. * Experience documenting standard operating
procedures. You will be a part of the Data Operations department.
