Description

The Liaison Managers of Business Standards & Best Practices (BSBP) are highly proactive individuals who will be the point of contact on behalf of Global Client Solutions for all areas of GCS, Corporate Trust, business partners (eg Control, Compliance, Audit, Legal) and other areas of the Company. Since the Liaisons are the BSBP and GCS face to our internal clients, they will be key contributors to the GCS strategic model design and structural design. In partnership with the Business Transformation Managers, new processes, model design/changes and organization proposals will not be implemented without the approval of BT and Liaisons. They must be responsive to all issues/concerns/inquiries raised by constituents and also proactively identify underlying model / structure issues & root causes which, in conjunction with other parts of BS&BP, they will assist in resolving. Liaisons must have a comprehensive understanding of CT processes and products and must be able to navigate GCS, CT and the Firm to solve problems. They are responsible for helping constituents navigate the GCS structure to get answers or resolution to client concerns, workflow / procedural deficiencies, processing errors, and external requests. They will routinely attend staff meetings for the groups that they represent and serve as the representative for GCS in applicable offsites. The Global Liaison Managers will be responsible for managing and directing issues and opportunities that impact the Corporate Trust (CT) business across the following areas: front office, Global Client Solutions (GCS), business and product management (BPM), Global Service Delivery (GSD), other business partners and other lines of business within BNY Mellon. They must have an excellent knowledge of all products and global/regional variations. The Global Liaison Managers must be able to engage and collaborate with a broad cross section of the organization including senior management, other managers within Business Standards and Best Practices (BS&BP), multiple business partners within CT as well as Compliance, Risk & Control, Legal and other areas of the Company as needed. At this level, the incumbent is fully proficient in the role and able to function independently with minimal guidance. The liaison must possess the innovative and technical knowledge to easily translate, trouble-shoot, document and communicate solutions to matters directed to the Liaison group.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Minimum Experience: Bachelors Degree and Ten or more years financial services experience, including time within Corporate Trust. Base knowlegde of Corporate Trust products. Proven ability to communication, negotiate and drive change at all levels of the organisation. Preferred Education and Preferred Experience: Graduate Degree or Ten or more years Corporate Trust experience. A full knowlegde of Corporate Trust products. Proven ability to communication, negotiate and drive change at all levels of the organisation.
