BASIC PURPOSE:
The position will support and maintain the production processing of multiple client's
security master file, referential data and security valuations.  The position will interface daily with the client's trade desk personnel, portfolio management and portfolio accounting teams, as well as multiple teams within the organization to ensure that all assets are set up accurately and in a timely manner.  The position provides daily production support of the client's securities trading process; including initial equity and fixed income security setup, valuation, mortgage factor and variable rate maintenance, credit rating and general security master file integrity.

Position will interact and provide support to numerous teams and departments within the organization, including Corporate Actions, Portfolio Accounting, and Trade Settlement.  Builds cooperative and professional internal/external relationships, and utilize all available resources throughout the organization, to achieving group and client goals.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Setup and maintain records, databases and client files.
2. Research routine issues and inquiries.
3. Resolve discrepancies and take action on routine matters and inquiries from external clients and internal departments.
4. Escalate more complex issues following procedures to ensure timeliness and accuracy of processing.
5. Interface with clients and other departments on routine matters and inquires
6. Perform various related auditing functions.
7. Assist with other related duties as required: ad hoc reporting / projects.
8. Understand and manage risks and controls within group functions.

INDEPENDENT ACTION:
Performs work within established guidelines and according to specific procedures. Handles some independent interaction with client contacts. Refers problems to immediate supervisor.

SCOPE DIFFERENTIATION:
Focus of job on performing routine and semi complex tasks to support client accounts.
MINIMUM JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree with emphasis in finance, accounting, or economics or equivalent work experience in finance or accounting.
• 1-3 years related experience in 1 or more areas of expertise i.e. trade processing, accounting, account transitions, pricing, operations audit, etc.
• Detailed understanding of operations.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service, communication, organizational and problems solving skills.
• Ability to balance workload and work in a deadline oriented position.
• Computer proficient including spreadsheet and database applications.
