Software Engineering is seeking an exceptional multidisciplinary leader
to mange our hardware distribution lab. The hardware lab ensures that
prototype and production hardware is made available to software teams
for development and testing, in a timely fashion. You will be
responsible for ensuring that the team continues to deliver exceptional
service to the Engineering community while continually evolving the
service to meet business needs. We're looking for a demonstrated team
and change leader!

- •Past experience with operational management and process development in a technical environment
- •Experience driving large-scale projects and initiatives with cross-functional teams
- •Day-to-day management, leadership and coaching experience with one or more reports
- •Experience planning, deploying and evolving inventory management and tracking systems

Description
You
will manage a team of individuals who help oversee the complete
lifecycle of hardware projects, including: Planning initial allocations,
collecting and processing prototypes, distribution to teams, secure
handling of returns and audits. While maintaining the team’s outward
focus on the customer, this role will also require regular review of lab
operations and performance to ensure optimum efficiency. In addition
to having multiple software teams as clients, this role will also
interact cross-functionally with Hardware Engineering, Finance, Shipping
and New Product Security.
•Manages the team that coordinates hardware allocation and distribution,
day-to-day
•Distills competing priorities into operational plans for the lab
•Implements and enforces lab guidelines
•Measures lab operations and capacity and reports reliably
•Drives requirements for lab software tools
•Develops and drives long-term road map for lab operations and tools
•Oversees internal lab projects
•Manages the inventory of SIMs, cables and accessories needed for
testing •Interfaces with similar functions worldwide
•Responsible for annual budget planning
Education
•BS/MS EE/CS/CE or equivalent
Additional Requirements
•Good understanding of Mac OS X or iOS
•Good understanding of software development
•Unix programming/scripting experience or equivalent
