Description

The Product Quality (portables) Engineering group is looking for a technically qualified candidate to help analyze customer returns (systems and replaced parts) and calibrate our factory outgoing quality assurance (OQA) process to the real life customer experience. We are looking for an individual with direct experience in dealing with and understanding Apple customer issues who can then bring these experiences into the manufacturing process, ensuring that the factory OQA process is performing the appropriate testing to capture the issues typically seen by the customer. Duties: - Analysis of systems and parts returned from customers and/repair depots. - Reproduce and analyze the cause of the fail and liaise with PQE and other Engineering groups to help identify containment and/or corrective actions. - Conduct assessment of factory OQA processes and report back on discrepancies or gaps relative to customer experience. - Work with PQE and other Engineering groups to identify and implement solutions - Work with early field failure analysis teams (Applecare, Engineering and Ops) to identify gaps in verification in the field to fault replication in the lab and then correlating this back to the factory OQA process - Improving the capture process from stores, reduce false captures and work with response engineer to ensure captures are valid - Travel to QSMC Shanghai to conduct assessment of OQA process and ensure lessons learned are implemented in factory user testing. - Possible trips to Sacramento warehouse and repair Depots (US and International)

Education

BS Engineering (EE/ME/Computer Sc etc) Equivalent level + relevant experience considered.
