The main role of the Compute Automation Engineer is to drive automation to achieve “Infrastructure as a Service”. In addition, the Automation team is responsible for supporting tools utilized in the compute space to include virtualization, and monitoring.
  • Work with Server, Storage and Backup teams to identify manual and time consuming processes which would be good candidates for “Automation”
  • Designs, plans, implements and evaluates the present and future needs of the compute organization (drive toward “Infrastructure as a Service”)
  • Support and work on other ArchOps initiatives (continuous delivery, Paas, SaaS, etc.)
  • Install / Configure / Maintain HP Open View Operations environment which includes: HP Operations Manager , HP Performance Manager, HP Operations and Performance Agents, and Network Node Manager.
  • Support TelAlert application which is deployed on an Apache-Tomcat environment
  • Interact with various contacts to address questions, problems and request regarding system issues
  • Technical lead and ownership of CA Auto Suite deployment / lifecycle
  • Support / Maintain Chef Secure OS deployed blueprints
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or high school diploma/GED and minimum 7 years of relevant work experience)
  • 3+ years of experience working in Unix and Windows administration
  • 3+ years’ experience with applications deployed on Apache-Tomcat environment or equivalent Java technology stacks
  • 4+ years hands-on working experience managing and supporting HP OpenView Operations suite of tools for UNIX and Windows operating environments
    Eligibility Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience of Virtualization technologies (vSphere, vCAC, ESX, etc.)
  • 2+ years’ experience of Virtualization on Solaris (Zones, LDOM)
  • 2+ years’ experience scripting languages (shell, VB, Ruby, etc.)
  • YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SATISFY THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 19 OF THE FEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE ACT.
