Job Description	Summary: This Utility Engineer will work on a bridge and highway project in Dallas performing the following duties.  Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  •Responsible for data collection, technical analyses, and written documentation.  •Participates in the coordination, estimation, and preparation of highway construction and contractor schedules.  •Uses computer aided design engineering software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.  •Maintains 3 week look ahead schedule identifying upcoming needs.  •Manages costs/budget/forecast related to utility work.  •Has a strong understanding of the project plans and contract requirements for specific duties.  •Has a strong comprehension of blue prints, standards, and specifications.  •Tracks subcontractor quantities and hours worked and codes time accurately on daily timesheet.  •Provides immediate response to site production issues in the field.  •Coordinates utility scopes including infrastructure installation, owner coordination, lighting, intelligent traffic systems, and traffic signals with other construction disciplines.  •Serves as a technical liaison between the project, utility owners, and the public during the execution of the project utility scope.
Basic Job Requirements	Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university. Degree with a concentration in Engineering preferred.  Minimum of two years experience desired in the engineering field.  Knowledge of electrical and communication systems is preferred.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the intermediate use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations  A valid driver’s license required by the project
