Job Summary

Apple is looking for a dynamic and passionate leader to join iAd’s growing Market Development team – a strategic, cross-functional group that directly supports the iAd sales force and impacts revenue.

Key Qualifications

  • Deliver research and insights that inform sales and marketing strategies, as well as iAd product and new business development
  • Manage primary research, utilize secondary sources, and collaborate with research teams/stakeholders across Apple business units
  • Extract conceptual insights from large and diversified data/results, provide hypothesis, and use data insights to answer business questions
  • Thoroughly understand appropriate uses, limitations, and issues inherent in using acquired third-party information sources
  • Develop creative and strategic fact-based proof materials to assist in achieving iAd’s annual sales growth
  • Deliver on-time, strategic and integrated presentations as it maps to verticals, audiences and top-tier customers
  • Gear iAd sales force and executives with a foundation of thought leadership materials
  • Must be task driven and have the ability to produce and hit key deliverable deadlines in a fast paced environment

Description

We are looking for a confident individual with a strong marketing research background who understands the value of uncovering audience insights from Apple’s wealth of consumer data to support our iAd sales business. This position requires a keen analytical and strategic mind that is able to absorb large amounts and varied sources of data, while having the capability to see beyond the data to provide intellectual insights. Successful candidates will offer a strategic perspective, sound business judgment, deep analytical capabilities, and a collaborative working style. They will possess strong intellectual curiosity, and a passion for achieving practical business impact. Skills in problem definition, rigorous analysis, and recommendation development will also be critical. Successful candidates will have exceptional interpersonal skills, initiative, and integrity. The Market Research Specialist will report to the iAd Global Research Lead and will work closely with internal iAd departments, including Sales, Sales Marketing, Product Marketing and more. The Market Research Specialist will be responsible for synthesizing and delivering compelling insights and stories that support our business, derived from both primary and external data. This position will be based in our New York office with potential opportunities for domestic travel.

Education

Bachelor of Arts or Science in a quantitative field of study including business, statistics, math, economics or a related discipline. MBA degree desired.
