The Senior Staff Engineer / Technologist - Combustor Aero Design will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. This individual will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
In addition you will:

  • Lead and consulting for combustor aero new-product and technology development programs
  • Lead advanced methods development for aero-thermal CFD and analysis tools
  • Lead business initiatives in design, materials, manufacturing, quality and/or productivity
  • Plan and execute combustor aero design, test, and analysis
  • Execute and provide guidance for the analysis / evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements
  • Lead business initiatives in design, materials, manufacturing, quality and/or productivity
  • Define and develop product processes related to design, analysis, testing, materials, manufacturing, quality and/or productivity
  • Identify need for technical and program reviews within the organization
  • Lead technical reviews and participate as a reviewer
  • Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments as appropriate
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements, schedules and contract commitments
  • Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems
  • Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 5 additional years’ experience in an engineering position

  • Advanced degree in Engineering
  • Combustor aero-thermal design experience
  • Ability to guide and influence others
  • In-depth understanding of engineering technology and tools
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
