| In
the role of Senior Revenue Analyst, you will be reporting to the
Manager of Senior Revenue Accounting within the Corporate Controllership
Organization and will be a subject matter expert responsible for
providing technical accounting analyses of contracts, transactions, and
new business models in order to insure compliant revenue accounting and
reporting. You will work with regional finance teams and others
involved in the quote-to-cash cycle.
Essential Functions: • Develop a solid understanding of NetApp product and service offerings and go-to-market models in order to appropriately apply technical accounting guidance and GAAP interpretations • As a revenue accounting and reporting subject matter expert, interact with and advise senior finance, legal, and operational personnel in geographically dispersed groups to provide technical revenue accounting guidance • Analyze and document the revenue impacting terms and conditions of complex multiple element contracts • Audit bookings on a daily basis • Develop and enhance NetApp revenue accounting policies, including writing accounting position papers • Work collaboratively to develop Policy Team solutions and processes to enhance compliance and best practicesEnsure revenue accounting policies are documented and applied consistently on a worldwide basis • Participate in company-wide initiatives and training that impact revenue accounting processes and analysis • Play a critical role in providing controls testing and documentation in support of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance • Use public accounting experience in support of quarterly on-going audits and the monthly and quarterly revenue closing process directly and indirectly as backup support for the Corporate Revenue Accounting Team | |

Working knowledge and ability to apply the concepts of ASC 605-25, ASC
985-605, and all applicable revenue recognition GAAP guidance to complex
multiple element arrangements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Details and process oriented, strong influencing skills and motivation to follow issues to resolution is essential • Self–starter who can work both independently and as a member of accounting policy and other cross-functional teams • Desire to cross-train on various revenue accounting group functions and reporting tools to broaden individual skills and experience base • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Advanced MS Excel and Power-point skills and experience with data reporting/mining tools highly preferred • Experience with Oracle a plus | |
