As a senior ICT Architect (Enterprise Architect equivalent) you will be responsible for analyzing business needs and designing the corresponding solutions architecture, utilizing Ericsson global IT and local IT capabilities.
You will engage with the Ericsson business stakeholders such as Operations, Service delivery, Sourcing, Sales, Finance, HR etc, as well as with the global and local IT teams.
You will lead and guide other ICT architect roles, such as domain or solution architects. And you will have regular collaboration with Strategic Product Managers and Business Relationship Managers in other units of the ITTE organization.
Having contact networks with management, stakeholders, end-user organizations, business units, industry players and analysts is important. It is a technical leadership position where ability to drive and communicate is key.
The purpose of the position is to enable Ericsson to achieve its goals and business values, as stated in the business strategies within the area – With the help of a strategic attainable architecture.
This is done by;
defining conceptual and logical architecture models that translates the strategy into architectural building blocks
Work also includes, together with the other team members, to create the overarching transition plan, indicating when in time architectural transition states needs to materialize - Which, combined with principles and standards will direct the evolution of corresponding solution building blocks (e.g. products, services or WoW’s) fulfilling the strategic business intent.

Position Description
As much of the differentiating business developments within Service
Delivery & Sourcing are driven from North America, it is crucial
that ITTE have a senior architect to support business on location in the
regional HQ.

- providing strategic architectural direction and transition steps
- defining the terminology to be used to describe the architecture content
- defining and determining steering architectural principles and strategic standards to be used
- acting as a guide/consultant in the solution creation process ensuring that all architectural aspects (i.e. Business-, Information- and Technology-architecture) are aligned.

Strategize
- Accountable to derive required long-term business capabilities affecting the architecture from strategic business priorities.
- Accountable to develop the Overarching Architecture (domain map with capabilities).
- Accountable to develop the high-level roadmap to reach the architecture target state.
- Accountable to develop architecture principles, architecture standards and high-level solution
- Accountable to manage architecture compliance
- Responsible to ensure IT investments are made in alignment with architecture transition plans.
- Accountable to lead and manage cross ITTE architecture processes.
- Accountable to develop architecture teams.
- Accountable to communicate/motivate architecture direction and decisions to stakeholders inside and outside ITTE.
- Accountable to develop and communicate adherence- and success metrics to measure performance and produced value of the architecture.
Formal qualification:
M.Sc. in computer science, computer engineering or systems analysis.
TOGAF L2 Certification or equivalent experience.
Requested experience:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Having a minimum of 2 years experience from a similar senior Architect position.
7-10 years of overall IT experience with minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in the area of the position.
International experience.
Personal skills:
Result oriented, delivery focused and committed to “Say-Do”.
Self-starters/go-getters able to identify scope, drive initiatives and conclude results. Work with minimum hand-holding.
Well organized with a strong drive to simplify complex subjects and improve business and architecture.
Ability to interface with all levels of management as well as external partners/managers.
Ability to work with vague directives and still be able to produce measurable results.
Ability to engage with global teams/team members with cultural diversity across time-zones to build one team.
Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
Ability to balance the long-term ("big picture") and short-term implications of individual decisions.
Proficient in architecture analysis and modeling techniques.
Ability to communicate with business in business terms & with architects & designers in technical terms.
