The Specialized Corporate Travel Counselor will be responsible for the timely and accurate servicing of American Express Business Travel arrangements for a corporate client. Duties include: provide business travel services for air/rail transportation, hotels and auto rentals; counsel clients on efficient routes, lowest available fares, exchange rates, travel products/services; ensure optimum customer service through effective use of computer systems and positive telephone service techniques; act on special customer requests and maintain excellent client relations. In addition, this person may complete weekly ARC reports, monitor additional databases, and research debit memos.
Qualifications
The Ideal Candidate will possess the following:
· 3+ years of corporate travel experience; current corporate travel experience is highly preferred.
· International and Group experiences are a plus.
· Strong proficiency in GDS in required; strong Apollo experience is highly desired.
· Possess independent decision making capabilities combined with strong and creative problem solving skills.
· Demonstrate strong organizations skills and capacity to prioritize tasks and research and resolve customer service issues.
· Automated and manual ticketing with proficiency in ticket exchanges, voids, and refunds are preferred.
· PC and office equipment troubleshooting skills including Microsoft Office applications.
· Ability to research on the internet and use web based tools.
· Effectively communicate with customers and clients via demonstrated oral and written skills.
· Work and excel in a team oriented corporate environment.
· VIP experience is a plus.
Due to the business needs, this person will provide on-site support to the client in Houston, TX.
