As Reporting
Analyst Associate, you'll develop, analyze, and distribute ad hoc
reports as requested. You'll also support the various reporting tools
required to access Ernst & Young's information systems.
In this role, you'll receive direct supervision, and will not supervise others.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ad hoc report requests to develop, implement and support applications to meet the client's business requirements
- Determine the daily workflow, and prioritize effectively, to process multiple requests for information from all levels of the firm's management
- Proactively interact with clients and management, to inform them of any trends or operational issues
- Develop ad hoc reports, based on management's requests. Utilize the most appropriate output format for the internal client, which may include Excel spreadsheets, Access databases, flat files (mainframe and PC-based) or paper-based reports
- Coordinate the production of monthly and quarterly reports in a timely manner
- Support other users of the firm's information systems, to help with product knowledge (on Access and Business Objects), and with Information Technology Services (ITS) information systems reporting
- Help create, generate, and distribute various reports and queries, which can be utilized by external customer groups
- Independently respond to client requests, and keep a schedule of these queries. Confirm that reports meet client needs
Knowledge and skills requirements
- Strong customer service, communication, analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to successfully meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, and ability to review work deliverables
- Knowledge of database access tools, such as Visual Basic, Access, and Oracle
- Numerical aptitude, and substantial statistical, analytical, and data interpretation skills
- Knowledge of a professional services organization, as well as information systems and accounting
- Technical knowledge of complex applications and programming tools
Experience
- A minimum of 0-3 years related reporting experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
