The AIMS Group manages globally diversified programs, targeted sector-specific strategies, customized portfolios, and a range of advisory services. Our investors access opportunities through new fund commitments, fund-of-fund investments, strategic partnerships, secondary-market investments, co-investments, and seed-capital investments. The AIMS Real Estate Group is seeking to add an Associate or Vice President to the real estate investment team. The individual will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, investing, and managing real estate investments in direct assets, including single properties, portfolios of assets and joint venture opportunities, secondary-market investments, fund-of- fund investments, and strategic partnerships. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to lead deal teams in sourcing, analyzing, executing and monitoring these investment opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Sourcing, assessing, and executing on potential investment opportunities
• Analyzing and presenting opportunities and risks inherent in specific sectors and markets
• Overseeing valuation analyses and due diligence process
• Coordination of internal and external resources to analyze direct investments in real estate assets, real estate private equity funds, direct real estate co-investments and secondary real estate private equity acquisitions
• Responsible for leading Investment Committee discussions and overseeing creation of materials
• Responsible for deal closing processes
• Oversight of operating partners (where applicable) to maximize investment’s value
Basic Qualifications
• Transaction experience and demonstrated investment judgment, with 4-10 years of experience in investment banking, capital markets or private equity• Real estate sector and valuation expertise required, from an advisory, financing and/or investing capacity
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong quantitative skills
• Ability to work well in a fast paced team environment
• Project management abilities
• Highly organized; attention to detail and excellent follow-through required
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills
