Specialist will assist Sales Account Managers in all administrative
aspects of the customer sales process, from prospecting to customer
service. This role reports into the Senior Sales Support Manager and
also provides executive administrative assistance to two members of the
Reuters News Agency Leadership Team.
The Sales Support Specialist's primary responsibility is to support the Sales account managers in all administrative aspects of sales generation and customer support and service. This is a customer-facing role and excellent people skills are a must.
Primary duties:
• Assisting in the preparation of sales presentations, proposals, and contracts
• Creating and managing a contract expiration database
• Actively monitoring Salesforce opportunities, pipelines, flash and other reporting
• Working closely with account managers to ensure that the data in Salesforce accurately reflects sales opportunities
• Partner with account managers, Marketing and the VP Sales to organize conferences (planning and execution of events, venue confirmation, group registrations and hotel accommodations, guest list management and menu selection) This role also supports the VP Sales and Global head of Product in general administrative tasks, including travel arrangements, expense reports, and calendar management. The ideal candidate will be a team player with an appreciation for the essential contribution sales support makes to revenue generation. Required Skills:
• Team player: ability to build strong relationships within the team; willing to "roll up the sleeves"
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Detail-oriented; problem solver
• Thorough knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel & PowerPoint
• Experience working with Salesforce
• Database management skills
• Excellent "people skills" Desired Skills:
• 2-3 years experience in a sales support role
• Knowledge of Media landscape and News Agencies strongly preferred
• Interest in breaking news and a passion for quality journalism
