In this role, you will serve as the main point
of contact between the Operational Risk team the IT function within
Retail Finance. This includes responsibility for independent Risk
oversight of the function's execution of the Operational Risk program.
Serve
as a main point of contact/coordinator for the Retail Finance
Operational Risk team interacting with the IT function; responsible for
independent Risk oversight of the function's execution of the
operational risk program.
Drive awareness and preparedness for
regulatory exam, internal audit and control testing activity related to
operational risks in the RF function, and provide oversight and
assurance of progress toward closure of MRAs and audit findings;
Provide guidance and challenge during functional risk
assessments, to ensure thorough critical thinking in assessing risks,
and aligning them with broader Operational and Enterprise Risk
assessments
Execute and evolve disciplined Issue Management process;
ensuring operational risk issues are reported, escalated if necessary,
and action plans executed according to GECRB procedures
Conduct training and ensure proper usage of Enterprise & Operational Risk system of record technology tool
Partner closely with the assigned function and Finance to size operational loss event data to report and escalate accordingly
Work with the RF function to develop and maintain reporting and responses to Key Risk Indicator metrics
Establish rhythm to keep RF leadership informed of all
Operational Risk related activities and issues through governance
channels such as the Enterprise Risk Management Committee and related
subcommittees
Work closely with RF Enterprise Risk Management team to
identify, articulate and track the function’s operational risk tolerance
levels in its Risk Appetite framework
Coordinate Operational Risk responses to regulatory requests regarding the assigned function
Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in a financial services environment with deep experience in process design and management
