The Lead Engineer / Technologist EIS (Engineer in-the-shop) will be an experienced engineer co-located at a key Supply Chain core shop or supplier to accelerate progress on NPI (New Product Introductions), delivery, cost out, and quality.
Essential Responsibilities	In addition, you will: Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adheres to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting assigned projects Document technical data generated by assigned projects consistent with engineering policies and procedures Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures Support NPIs (NPI + source changes) by adding rigor and incorporating lessons learned Identify / Support Engineering cost out projects Drive MRB reduction and TAT improvement Communicate Engineering design intent Build connections between Site and Design Engineering part owners Support other Engineering tasks / initiatives; like VSE first-article visuals, PPRs Support other Supply Chain tasks / initiatives; like loss reduction, quality event root cause analysis
Qualifications/Requirements	Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics from an accredited college or university Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in a mechanical design engineering role

GE Aviation Engine Services Tri-Remanufacturing, Inc. is a component repair facility that primarily repairs honeycomb seal rings and segments for jet aircraft engines. The facility, located in southwest Indiana is approximately 66,000 square feet and has roughly 100 employees.
